Pre-save for Spotify is a new category of Spotify applications that allows users to save Spotify tracks and albums to library and playlists prior to them coming out! Think of it as "pre-order" for streaming. The reason pre-save campaigns can be so effective is that they allow music labels and artists to promote their streams prior to them being available. Similar to a pre-order campaign that tries to generate as much revenue prior to a launch, pre-save attempts to do the same for the growing number of fans who stream music.
