Deezer's TV App Hits The US Through Samsung Music Tile Deal

Deezer’s TV app is hitting the US through a Samsung Music Tile deal which will see all of Samsung’s Smart TVs ship with the Deezer TV application pre-installed, meaning consumers who pick up one of the Samsung Smart TVs that will include the app will be able to access it right from the start. The app itself is nothing new as it has been available in other markets, but Deezer notes that Samsung Smart TVs which ship with the app will have the latest version of it, which means all of the most up to date features for the service, and it will prominently feature music from emerging artists that are championed by the Deezer Next program.

Deezer Next is a way for users to discover emerging artists and listen to some of the best new fresh finds in the music industry, and since the partnership between Samsung and Deezer centers around Samsung’s new Music Tile, this is where users will be able to access all of the streaming music in one place to simplify finding the right music for the right time no matter what’s happening. The Music Tile acts as a consolidated location for finding any and all the user’s favorite music and allows users to search between different streaming music services, different playlists, radio stations and more.

Deezer’s TV app will offer users a handful of different features to play around with that will also make the user experience with the service and the app itself better than ever. This includes both Deezer’s popular Flow and Lyrics features. Flow is essentially a digital assistant but for music. The more you use Deezer, Flow will learn from you and eventually it’ll start to play music for you that it thinks you want to hear at just the right time. The Lyrics feature is just like it sounds. users who like to sing along with their favorite tracks will be able to view the lyrics to songs right on their Samsung Smart TV display and sing along rather easily. The app will also include two other notable features called My Music and Mixes. My Music will be the place where users can find songs they’ve favorited when they want to get back to them at a moment’s notice, and Mixes is a collection of playlists that have been curated by Deezer, so if you aren’t sure what you want to listen to but you do want music for a specific occasion, Mixes would be able to provide a specific playlist that was created for a specific occasion so you would just have to select the mix that best fits what you’re doing. As a sort of bonus, Deezer is offering Samsung Smart TV owners three months of Deezer for free, so it might be the perfect time to check it out, though it’s a limited time deal, and Deezer notes that it won’t be available on all Samsung Smart TV models.
